But hot damn, Skyrim on a portable console was just too good to pass up. I did the same thing way back with the Metroid Prime Trilogy. And I’ll probably do the same thing when the Dark Souls Switch port comes out. I am not very good at keeping promises to myself.

I recently got myself a Switch, in case that wasn’t obvious. That’s why I haven’t been around much the last week. Not that anyone noticed.

Switch makes it way too easy to play games way too much. Last week I finally got around to getting Zelda and it is definitely in part responsible for why I haven’t been around here much.

I haven’t even turned on my laptop in two days. I feel like I’m cheating on it.

I’m waiting for BotW until I get as much completion out of Odyssey as I can.

The main thing that made me pull the trigger on buying one (besides getting my taxes back) was the announcement of Prime 4.

I love the way the Switch makes gaming a completely different experience. I am thoroughly enjoying playing Skyrim again on mine. I would give so much money to get the Mass Effect Trilogy on my Switch.

I’m still floored that a) Nintendo was able to pull this off so amazingly and b) that nobody’s tried to do a console like this before.

I really hope that the launch of Prime 4 brings with it a relaunch of the first three games.

I got it after E3 when they announced Prime 4 and a few other things that interested me. I started with MK8 and then Odyssey. I’m at something like 450 moons now and was starting to get a little bored of hunting around for the more hidden ones and staring down a couple of long plane rides so I got BoTW. (I’m actually sitting at DFW now on my laptop after playing BoTW for like 3.5 hours straight from when I sat in my seat at PIT.) I’m actually super excited for Kirby Star Allies to play co-op with my kids - we’ve been working through Rayman Legends together and it’s fun, but I think Kirby is a bit more on their level. I’d love to do Skyrim but I don’t know if I’ll find the time.

Skyrim will make you make the time lol.

I’m actually enjoying the Switch version better. It’s forcing me to play the game correctly. Every time I try to start a file on my PC copy I start out with good intentions but then end up just console-ing my way to success the moment I get stuck or bored.
